Realme Smart TV Remote Control Gets Bluetooth Certification, Could Be Close to Launch.
Realme is soon to launch its first Smart TV in India in Q2 2020 ...

The Realme Smart TV is expected to have a starting screen size of 43 inches.

Chinese smartphone and accessories maker Realme - formerly a sub-brand of Oppo - was expected to launch its first smart TV earlier this year, at MWC 2020. However, the cancellation of the trade show due to concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus meant that Realme had to push back its launch timeline. It now appears that the company is close to launching its first smart TV, with the remote control has received Bluetooth certification. This suggests that Realme could be preparing to launch the new television in the coming weeks.
A new report by MySmartPrice tips that a remote control from Realme has cleared Bluetooth certification. The listing page doesn't reveal too many details, apart from the fact that it runs on Bluetooth 5.0. With this certification in place, Realme could be preparing to launch the television soon. To recall, after the delay from the MWC 2020 launch, the company had confirmed it would be launching the Realme TV in India in Q2 2020, and the latest certification is in line with this.
India is a key market for Realme, and its first smart TV could largely be aimed at Indian consumers. An earlier report based on a BIS listing suggests that the Realme Smart TV series will come with a starting screen size of 43 inches, although the model number suggests that it could also be available in a 55-inch screen size. The company, known to be in fierce competition with Xiaomi, could price its first smart televisions starting at under Rs. 30,000.
With the coronavirus lockdown in India set to extend till the end of April (at least), Realme could be preparing to launch the Realme Smart TV series as soon as possible, although we could see an online product announcement before India availability is detailed. Not much else is known about the Realme TV series, but it's safe to expect these to be 4K HDR smart TVs with support for popular apps and streaming services.
OnePlus 8 Series High-Res Case Images Leak Ahead of Launch, OnePlus 8 Pro Retail Box, Live Image Spotted
Full OnePlus 8 & OnePlus 8 Pro pricing and specifications confirm ...
OnePlus has been the hot topic in the news owing to several leaks and teasers in anticipation of the launch event on April 14. A new leak shows images of the alleged official cases for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, that too in high resolution. These go in line with the previous case leaks showing multiple types of cases, as well as the different finishes, one of which is the company's traditional Sandstone black variant. The case images also show the camera placement on both the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro. Further, an image of the retail box and one of the OnePlus 8 Pro itself was allegedly spotted online, reaffirming the specifications and design.
The leak comes from tipster Ishan Agarwal through a Twitter post. The alleged cases include a Sandstone Bumper Case that comes in three colour options - Black, Cyan, and Smoky Purple. The post also mentions a transparent bumper case, a nylon bumper case, and a Karbon bumper case. The alleged cases for the OnePlus 8 show a vertical cutout for the expected triple camera setup on the back, and the flash right below them. In the case of the OnePlus 8 Pro, the cutout is much larger for the similar triple camera configuration as the non-Pro variant along with an extender area to the left housing a fourth sensor, and what seems to be a laser autofocus and flash module.
All the cases also seem to have the new OnePlus logo below the camera cut-out. Notably, these case designs were previously leaked as well but were not in high resolution.
Additionally, an image of the About phone page of the alleged OnePlus 8 Pro was posted by a tipster on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. It states the phone has a Snapdragon 865 SoC, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 6.78-inch 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display. The image also states the phone runs Android 10. These specifications fall in line with what already know about the phone. Also, the alleged retail box first spotted by ITHome has the OnePlus 8 Pro branding on the side. It is a tall red box with just the number ‘8' on the front.
There have been countless leaks surrounding the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro and the accessories the company will unveil at the April 14 event. These accessories, including the bullets wireless earphone refresh and the wireless charger, have received official teasers as well.

LG has introduced a new LG Velvet series, an upcoming smartphone lineup that aims to bring distinctively different designs to the market. In an earlier post, LG revealed a unique concept ‘Raindrop' camera design in its upcoming phone, and now the company has confirmed that it will be called LG Velvet. The concept sketch of the upcoming LG Velvet shows three cameras and an LED flash sitting at the back in descending order by size – evoking the illusion of falling raindrops. Furthermore, concept renders of the phone have been shared online, giving us a fair idea of what the upcoming LG Velvet may look like.
The company announced the new LG Velvet series on its blog. LG says that it is "moving away from alphanumerical designations in favor of familiar and expressive names that will help the consumer capture the essence of the device best suited for his or her personality and ever-changing trends." Tipster Ice Universe has separately shared multiple concept renders made by netizens. The renders are offered in many colours – Red, Blue, Purple, Black, and White. It clearly shows how the triple camera setup's ‘Raindrop' design will look, and the front display features a hole-punch display with the cut out placed on the top left corner of the screen. The phone is seen to come with curved edges and minimal bezels on the top and bottom edge of the screen. The ‘Velvet' branding sits on the rear panel in the centre. There's no rear fingerprint sensor, and LG may include an in-display fingerprint sensor onboard.
